Has anyone thought about using TECO (the grandfather of Emacs) for text automation?
I know a lot of you probably have TecoC installed on your computers for experimentation; I've found that it's a fine line editor, far better than ed or sed. Now, I'm a big Teco fan (I used a visual Teco called SCITECO before I got into Spacemacs, because Vi was too lightweight and Emac…

Delaying prompts in daemon startup (in particular, local variables).
Sometimes, when I start Emacs as a daemon , it gets stuck because of some kind of prompt for a particular buffer. Is there a way to delay these prompts until an actual frame has been created, or to handle these prompts at daemon startup?

From what I've been able to find, the answer is no, e.g.: http…

The difference between projectile and counsel
Hello everyone,

I am curious what is the difference between projectile and counsel and i could not find any answer about this. For example, there is counsel-git-grep and counsel-projectile-git-grep. Aren't they suppose to be the same? And when to use one.

Thanks.

There is some way to disable the built-in Org Mode in compile time?
Maybe a silly question, but anyway...

There is some way to inhibit or eliminate completely the org "subtree" ( github.com/emacs-mirror/emacs/ ) in Emacs, and compile without it?
